Kevin Condon

AFC Gnosall was set up and established in 2013, though the journey to this point began further afield

After arriving in Gnosall from Birmingham, in 2003, our now chairman and founder, Kevin Condon, began searching for local football facilities for his 4-year-old son. He was disappointed to see that there were no facilities local, so decided to leave it for a while. When his son was aged 7, he found a club in Stafford, called Stafford Falcons, and travelled there twice weekly for his sons training sessions. This team was merged from two age groups and when the club decided to split the team into two with their correct age groups, Kevin was approached to manage his son’s team, who would be the U8’s. Kevin agreed (reluctantly!) to take over and continued training and playing in Stafford, until it dawned on him that most of his team were from Gnosall, as his son had persuaded all his friends to join!

Kevin remembered the difficulty of finding a team in Gnosall several years earlier, so decided not just to decant the team back to his home Village, but also to set up a club which carried the village name and would provide fun football activities for children from 4 upwards!

From those humble roots, the club now has 200+ members, with 30 volunteers, who work hard to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for the children.

Kev currently looks after our entry level junior and U16’s team.
